Most conversations about AI and creative work are about job displacement. What I hear from creative teams is identity displacement. They worry that organizations will stop recognizing exceptional creativity, because acceptable becomes easy.
That worry is well founded. A model trained on everything produces the center of everything. As adoption spreads, work starts to look the same everywhere and the bar quietly lowers. For a brand, that is a business risk. Category distinctiveness collapses, and being recognizable at a glance is exactly what a brand pays for.
The deeper danger is complacency. Once good enough is instant and free, insisting on better becomes a cost someone has to justify.
My work is helping teams use these tools well without losing the human ingenuity that makes exceptional work worth remembering.
If this is the conversation your team is having, I would like to hear about it.
